S tampin' Up! catalogs are also idea books. As a woman who grew up on Florida's Gulf Coast, I am always drawn to the sea. When I saw this card on page 94 of the annual catalog, I decided to copy it.
Project Recipe
I first created a card base from Blackberry Bliss cardstock cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".
I cut a piece of Just Jade cardstock at 4" x 5 1/4" inches and embossed it using the Seabed embossing folder.
On top of the embossed piece I added a piece of Whale Of A Time patterned paper cut at 1 3/4" x 4".
On a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 3" x 3 3/4" inches I stamped several images using these inks:
Blackberry Bliss
Calypso Coral
Pretty Peacock
Just Jade
I added it to the embossed piece.
I wrapped Pool Party Sheer Ribbon around the embossed piece and tied a bow.
I then added the completed embossed piece to the card front.
When I teach paper crafting classes, I always help participants learn how to cover up mistakes and explain there is no mistake they can make I have not made myself ... probably more than once!
After I finished this card, I somehow smeared a couple of dots of ink on the white piece. It looked awful. Too lazy to recreate the entire card, I found simple solution. I added a few Elegant Faceted Gems to mask the ink spots. Problem solved.
