T raditions of Christmas has some beautiful prints. This card would work with most of the prints in that Designer Series Paper pack.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Real Red 5 ½ X 8 ½. Fold in half so the card front measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut TWO pieces of Basic White paper 4 X 5 ¼. Emboss one of the white pieces with the Peaceful Greenery embossing folder. Cut the embossed piece the center vertically so you have two pieces that measure 2 X 5 ¼. You only need one for this card, save the other one for your next card.
Attach the 2 X 5 ¼ embossed piece to the left edge of the other white card mat you cut. The center of the embossed piece should be facing the center of the white card mat.
Cut 6” of the Mossy Meadow & Gold ¼” ribbon from the Painterly Pears suite. Put Tear & Tape on the back of the ribbon, remove backing from the Tear & Tape. Attach ribbon at the transition where the ½ embossed piece meets the white card mat, wrapping the ribbon around to the back of the card mat top and bottom.
Card Front: Cut Real Red 2 ¾ X 4 ¼. Cut print paper from Traditions of Christmas 1 ½ X 4. (There are a variety of prints in this paper pack that would work with this card design.). Attach the print paper to the red mat. Attach both papers to the center of the card front with Stampin Dimensionals.
Add 3 Traditional Sparkling Sequins to the card front.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4.. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment from Traditional Labels with Real Red ink before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
