reate two cards at the same time!
The hibiscus is my favorite flower. We had hibiscus bushes growing in my yard when I was a child and I fell in love with them. The Timeless Tropic stamp set is one I treasure.
Project Recipe
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Lightly score it at 4 1/4".
Stamp the images from top to bottom along the score line.
I colored the stamens using the Mango Melody Blends marker.
Paint the images with Wink of Stella. This will soften the harsh lines and distribute the ink a little.
Now, using the scoreline as your guide, cut the cardstock into two equal pieces.
Rotate one so both pieces have the images on the left side.
Mount the stamped pieces onto Real Red card bases.
On scrap cardstock, stamp two flowers in Soft Saffron ink and die cut them. Paint the flowers with Wink of Stella.
Die cut leaves from Granny Apple Green cardstock.
Add the leaves and yellow flower to the card front using dimensionals.
Stamp the sentiments in Real Red ink as shown in the photograph.
Add an odd number of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Here is a card I made using the same split card method, but this time with die cuts. I glued all the die cut pieces before cutting the cardstock in half.
See below for materials I used to make the hibiscus cards.
