P layful thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Secret Sea Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" of pale pink leaves on lighter pink background design from Kintsugi Inspirations 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 3-1/2" from Secret Sea Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" from Berry Burst Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Kintsugi Inspirations Specialty Designer Paper to the center of the front of the Secret Sea card.
Pick out the rectangular, woodgrain frame die from the Framed Scenes Dies. Put it on top of the Secret Sea rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Note: You are using the open frame cut out for this project. Keep the solid rectangle cut out to use on another project or recycle it.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the frame cut out to the front of the card so it is centered on the designer paper rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Terrific Toadstools Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the larger, flatter mushroom top image from the Terrific Toadstools Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white strip leaving room to punch it out and stamp the stem in later steps.
Unlock the Terrific Toadstools Builder Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped mushroom top image into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Keep all the pieces.
Adhere the punched out mushroom top to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle on the upper left side of the frame cut out so it overlaps the inside left frame a bit.
Mount the fatter mushroom stem with a frill in the center image from the Terrific Toadstools Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Secret Sea Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining bit of white strip.
Use scissors to cut out the mushroom stem with frill image by hand.
Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue adhere the stem cut out to the front of the card as shown so the top overlaps the center bottom of the mushroom top.
Mount the "just a little thank you" sentiment from the Terrific Toadstools Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Secret Sea Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the thin strip of Berry Burst Cardstock.
Pick out the rectangular frame with stitched edges die that cuts out a 3/4" x 2-1/4" rectangle from the Textured Notes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment top to bottom with the sentiment closer to one edge. Run through the machine. Put the die back on top of the cut out so it lines up with the top and bottom edges and will cut off the longer bit of cardstock on one side so the entire cut out is about 1-5/8" long. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is just inside the bottom of the frame and overlaps the left edge of the frame a bit.
Cut a 4" piece of the Petal Pink 5/16" Braided Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center of the braided trim and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the braided trim knot to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it is centered over the upper right side of the frame.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large Petal Pink dots from a sheet of Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them card front as shown.
