Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and scissors:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Secret Sea Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- smaller rainbow from sheet of two yellow and blue rainbows on white background design from Boho Vibes 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper cut out with scissors so it is 4-1/8" tall
- 2-3/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Sunshine Vibes Set or Sunrise Sailing Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the solid, half circle image from the Sunshine Vibes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp once on Gris Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it on the vertical 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle so it is at an angle as shown and is 2-7/8" from the bottom and 1-1/8" from the left side.
Mount the solid, crescent image from the Sunshine Vibes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle so it overlaps the right edge of the previously stamped half circle as shown.
Mount the half circle of light rays image from the Sunshine Vibes Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle so it wraps around the upper left side of the previously stamped half circle/crescent. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again so it wraps around the lower right side of the previously stamped half circle/crescent.
Rub a Small Blending Brush across the open Cloud Cover Ink Spot included in the Classic Stampin' Spot Small Assortment 1 to get it inky. Rub off some excess ink on Grid Paper. Then, lightly rub the inky blending brush all over the stamped white rectangle in a circular motion around the stamped sun image. Get more ink on the blending brush as needed.
If you haven't already done so, cut the smaller rainbow from the sheet of Boho Vibes Designer Paper using scissors as described in the measurements.
Adhere the rainbow cut out to the lower left side of the stamped and blended white rectangle so the left and bottom edges are even and the upper curve of the rainbow covers the bottom of the stamped sun image. If needed, use scissors to cut off excess designer paper along the edges.
Adhere the layered white rectangle to the center of the Secret Sea rectangle and then to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Mount the "you're destined for great things" sentiment from the Sunrise Sailing Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Secret Sea Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the circle die with hash marks along the edge that cuts out a 2-1/4" circle from the Spotlight On Nature Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment stamped square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment circle cut out to the front of the card as shown using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Pick out the shorter, fatter cloud die from the dies included in the Sunrise Sailing Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the small white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the cloud cut out to the front of the card as shown using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Cut a 4" piece of the Secret Sea 3/8" Faux Linen Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot at a slight angle to the bottom left side of the sentiment circle cut out on the card front as shown.
