P retty spring hello card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of blue stripes and flowers on light blue background design from True Blue Florals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 3/4" x 3" from Lemon Lolly Cardstock
- tulip punched from Covered In Flowers Accents
Adhere the piece of True Blue Florals Designer Paper to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Lemon Lolly strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sunshine & Tulips Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Sunshine & Tulips Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Lemon Lolly strip so it is closer to the punched edge with the punched edge on the right side.
Use scissors or Paper Trimmer to cut the stamped sentiment strip down so it is only about 2" long.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the front of the card so it is about 1-1/4" from the left edge and about 1/2" from the bottom edge.
If you haven't already done so, carefully punch out the tulip from the sheet of Covered In Flowers Accents being sure to keep all the pieces.
Put the tulip punch out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface because the Stampin' Blends do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Daffodil Delight and Dark and Light Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends to color the tulip flower.
Use the Dark and Light Old Olive, Dark and Light Granny Apple Green, and Dark and Light Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends to color the stems and leaves.
It might be easier to color some of the leaf insets by punching them out and coloring them separately.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the colored tulip punch out to the front of the card as shown so the bottom of the stem covers the left edge of the sentiment strip. If you punched any of the leaf pieces clear to color them separately, then just adhere them back in place like puzzle pieces using the liquid glue.
Cut a 6-1/2" piece of the Old Olive 3/8" Specialty Rickrack.
Fold the rickrack in half. Tie a half knot in the center of the folded rickrack. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the rickrack knot to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle so it is centered over the bottom of the tulip stem.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large clear dot from a sheet of Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the bottom left side of the tulip flower on the tulip punch out on the card front as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 1 small yellow butterfly from a sheet of Softest Spring Mix & Match Puffy Stickers making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
