Project Recipe
Instructions:
Using the Simply Scored Tool, score the Cardstock: Score an 11” x 6-1/2” piece of Pecan Pie cardstock at 1-1/2” on both sides of the 6-1/2” edge. Then score the 11” side at 1-1/2”, 5-1/4”, 6-3/4”, and 10-1/2”.
Prepare the Box: Fold and burnish all score lines with a bone folder. Trim the cardstock as shown in the diagram, removing the gray areas. Apply adhesive to the small tabs and adhere them to the side panels to assemble the box. Use a corner rounder to round the corners of the lid flap.
Emboss the Lid Panel: Insert a 3-1/4” x 3-1/2” piece of Pecan Pie cardstock into the Forever Plaid 3-D Embossing Folder and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Wrap baker’s twine around the embossed panel, tying a bow on the far left-hand side. Adhere the panel to the box lid with adhesive.
Decorate the Box Sides: Cut two 3-1/2” x 1-1/4” strips and two 3-1/4” x 1-1/4” strips of patterned Designer Series Paper. Adhere the paper strips to the sides of the box with adhesive.
Add a Notch by punching a half-circle into the front of the box using a 1” circle punch.
Decorate Box Lid: Cut a circle from a 3” x 3” piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock using the Deckled Circle Dies. Cut a smaller circle from patterned Designer Series Paper using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Layer and adhere the circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then attach to the box lid.
Add the Sentiment: Stamp “JOY” from the Iconic Celebrations Stamp Set onto Basic White cardstock with Pretty Peacock ink. Die-cut the sentiment with the Iconic Celebrations Dies, ensuring the sentiment is aligned to the right. Cut a snowflake from Pretty Peacock cardstock using the Snowy Wonders Dies and adhere it to the left-hand side of the sentiment tag. Attach the sentiment tag to the box lid.
Final Touches: Embellish the box lid with Ribbon Adhesive-Backed Dots as shown in the photo.
