Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 4" x 5-1/4" from any cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
Pick out the circle die with stitched edges that cuts out a circle that is 3" diameter from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Put it on top of the 4" x 5-1/4" rectangle of any color of cardstock (not the Basic White one) on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is in the lower left corner. Run through the machine. Keep both pieces!
Lay the cardstock with the circle cut out of the lower left corner on top of the horizontal 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle so all the edges are even on top of a piece of Grid Paper. Use pieces of washi tape to hold the cardstock in place.
Rub a Small Blending Brush across the open Misty Moonlight Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush over the circle opening along the left, top, and bottom edges. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Rub a different Small Blending Brush across the open Pretty In Pink Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush over the circle opening filling in the blank spaces and blending over the Misty Moonlight areas as well. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Remove the rectangle with the hole cut out of it.
Working on Grid Paper to protect your work surface, place the circle cut out on top of the blended circle on the white rectangle. Hold the brush tip of the Dark Gray Granite Stampin' Blends a couple of inches over the blended white rectangle at a slightly above horizontal angle. Tap the brush tip end of the Blends sharply with your finger or Bone Folder to make splatters onto the cardstock. Move the position of the Blends around until you've got all the splatters you want.
Tip: The closer you hold the tip of the Blends to the cardstock, the larger the splatters will be.
Tip: Make sure you move everything you don't want to get splatters on out of the way before splattering!
Adhere the blended and splattered white rectangle to the front of the Basic White Thick card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Seaside Wishes Set or Unbounded Love Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the small sand dollar image from the Seaside Wishes Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Gray Granite Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/4" white square.
Pick out the matching set of 3 sand dollars die from the Seaside Wishes Hybrid products. Put it inside the Embossing Folder from the Seaside Wishes Hybrid products so it fits into the grooves around the corresponding sand dollars cut into the inside of the top flap (the one with the line and logo printed on it) of the Embossing Folder. Place the stamped small sand dollar into the layered dies/embossing folder so it is centered in the small sand dollar cutting/embossing area. Close the folder and put it on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. This will cut out and emboss the sand dollar image at the same time.
Mount the large starfish (sea star) image from the Seaside Wishes Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2" square.
Rub the Small Blending Brush used with the Misty Moonlight Ink across the open Misty Moonlight Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub off excess color on some Grid Paper. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush around the entire star fish stamped square.
Pick out the matching large starfish (sea star) die from the Seaside Wishes Hybrid products. Put it on top of the stamped starfish (sea star) on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Mount the little starfish (sea star) image from the Seaside Wishes Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pretty In Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/4" white square.
Rub the Small Blending Brush used with the Pretty In Pink Ink across the open Pretty In Pink Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub off excess color on some Grid Paper. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush around the entire star fish stamped square.
Pick out the matching small starfish (sea star) die from the Seaside Wishes Hybrid products. Put it on top of the stamped starfish (sea star) on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the sand dollar and sea star cut outs on the front of the card as shown along the lower right side of the blended circle to figure out placement and spacing. When happy with the arrangement, adhere the pieces in place using Stampin' Seal and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Mount the "Faith" sentiment from the Unbounded Love Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the small rectangle with a scalloped edge frame die from the Unbounded Love Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove all the pieces.
Note: You are using only the center white rectangle with the sentiment stamped on it for this project. You can keep the open, white, scalloped frame piece to use on another project or recycle it.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Gray Granite pearl from a sheet of Riverside Irregular Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the lower right side of the blended circle on the front of the card as shown.
