T he peony pieces were die cut from Peony Garden patterned paper. A second set of pieces was cut from vellum. Then the pieces were assembled to create one flower with the vellum pieces layered on top.
Project Recipe
Create a card base from Gray Granite cardstock cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".
Layer onto the front of the card base a piece of Basic Gray cardstock cut at 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".
Then add a layer of Peony Garden patterned paper cut at 4" x 5 1/4".
Cut two pieces of Basic Gray cardstock 1 5/8" x 4 1/8" and 2 1/4" x 3 5/8".
Cut two pieces of Peony Garden patterned paper at 4 1/16" x 1 1/2" and 2 1/8" x 3 1/2".
Layer the pieces together and add to the card front.
Die cut two sets of peony pieces using the Peony die set:
--Cut one set from vellum.
--Cut one set from Peony Garden patterned paper.
Create the flower as shown on my blog entry entitled "Stampin' Up! Outdid Themselves With the Peony Garden Suite."
Add the finished flower to the card front.
Cut leaves using Peony die set.
I used Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
Add them to the card front.
Finish the card by adding three Elegant Facets Gems and a small bow made from white ribbon.
