P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of light blue, purple, and white aurora pattern from Lights Of Aurora 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 5-1/2" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3" x 6" from Basic White Cardstock
Pick out the group of smaller pine trees die from the Light & Wonder Dies. Put it on top of the 3" x 5-1/2" Basic Black rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered side to side and the tops of the trees are near the top of the cardstock. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove all the pieces as needed.
Adhere the group of trees cut out to the horizontal Lights Of Aurora Designer Paper rectangle so the tops of the trees are near the top of the designer paper and the gap between the trees is near the center of the rectangle. Use scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the right and left edges as needed.
Pick out the long, skinny die with zigzags near the center from the Light & Wonder Dies. Put it on top of the Basic White rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered side to side and near the top edge of the rectangle. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Light & Wonder Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "may your day be filled with" sentiment from the Light & Wonder Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle with the top edge cut off so it is close the cut edge and slightly to the right of center as shown.
Mount the large, script "magic" sentiment from the Light & Wonder Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle with the top edge cut off so it is just below and slightly to the left of the previously stamped sentiment as shown.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle with the cut along the top edge on top of the matted trees cut out/designer paper rectangle so the white bump at the top is centered in the gap between the trees.
Use scissors to cut off excess cardstock on the left, right, and bottom edges.
Adhere the matted designer paper/cardstock rectangle to the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of the Balmy Blue 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted rectangle so it is as close to the bottom edge as possible. It may cover the bottom of the word "magic" a bit. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Basic Black rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
Cut a 8" piece of the Balmy Blue 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Slide the folded end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front just below the "c" in the word "magic." Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small Balmy Blue dots from the sheet of Frosted Iridescent Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
