F unny card for a bad situation using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pecan Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of green squares plaid design from Timeless Plaid 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 3-1/4" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 2" x 2-3/4" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 2-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 2" from Basic Beige Cardstock
- 7/8" x 1-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Adhere the piece of Timeless Plaid Designer Paper to the front of the Pecan Pie card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ice Cream Swirl Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the ice cream swirl image from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large Pecan Pie rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open ice cream swirl die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the stamped ice cream swirl image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use the fine tip of the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker to hand draw a wobbly mouth in the center of the cut out about half way up as shown.
Adhere the cut out to the front of the card in the lower right corner as shown.
Peel the protective backing off of the large Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the remaining Pecan Pie rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the "W," "E," and both "L" dies from the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Put them on top of the Pecan Pie rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Pecan Pie (brown) side is face up. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the letter cut outs on the card front as shown so they spell the word "WELL" at a slight upward angle in the upper left corner. Once happy with the arrangement, adhere the letters in place one at a time by peeling off the protective backings.
Peel the protective backing off of the remaining, small Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Basic Beige rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the confetti grouping die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the Basic Beige rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Basic Beige side is face up and you will cut out at least 2 of the small circles. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere two of the small circle cut outs in place one at a time by peeling off the protective backings just above the smile as eyes.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 small dots from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown as the eyeballs on the small beige circles.
