T his is another Tower Fold card I created for a friend's birthday. It's one of my favorites.
Score a piece of 5-1/2" x 8-1/4" Fresh Freesia cardstock at 1", 2", 3", 5-1/4", 6-1/4", and 7-1/4" on the long side.
Use a paper trimmer to cut at 1" and 2" from each long side between the 1" and 3" score lines, and again between the 5-1/4" and 7-1/4" score lines.
Fold the card base as shown on this template. "M" are mountain folds, "V" are valley folds.
Work all the folds until the card comes together to form the tower.
That completes the tower fold. Now we'll move on to decorating.
I used Blackberry Bliss Cardstock mats for vertical side-panels card front and back: four at 7/8” x 5-3/8”
Cardstock mats for horizontal panels top and bottom on front: two at 7/8” x 4-1/8”
Cardstock mat for horizontal middle panel on front: 1-3/8” x 4-1/8”
Cardstock mat for back panel: 2-1/8" x 5-3/8”
Basic White Cardstock for back panel: 2” x 5-1/4".
Scrap of Polished Pink Cardstock for the sentiment.
I used Bermuda Bay and Polished Pink Cardstock scraps for the roses.
Butterfly Bijou paper for vertical side-panels card front and back: four at 3/4” x 5-1/4”
For horizontal panels top and bottom on front: two at 3/4” x 4”
For horizontal middle panel on front: 1-1/4” x 4”
For Envelope flap: 2-1/2” x 6”
I stamped the roses onto the Bermuda Bay and Polished Pink cardstock using the matching ink pads. I cut the smallest rose from the new SU! Beautiful Brushstrokes Dies, and I used same color cardstock to cut out the layers of the roses using the detail dies. I also used the leaf dies from the same set to cut out the shape of the leaves and the detailed portion using Old Olive and Mossy Meadow cardstock.
Next adhere the roses to the front with Dimensionals, stamp the sentiment in Polished Pink ink onto the same color cardstock and add that to it above the roses with Dimensionals.
I then added a small butterfly that I cut out from the Butterfly Bijou DSP, I added Bumblebee Trinkets, Matte Black Dots, and Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon.
