I often get ideas from others' projects, but then put my on spin on them. This is true for this card. It is vastly different from the one I saw by Helene Den Briejen. At the end of this blog entry, I'll add a photo off the same card but in different colors.
Project Recipe
Create a card base from Cinnamon Cider cardstock cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".
Add a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock cut at 5 1/4" x 4" to the card front.
Cut a piece of copper foil cardstock at 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" and emboss it using the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.
Use the World Map die set to cut a globe from Cinnamon Cider cardstock.
Use the Stitched Rectangles die set to cut the small rectangle from Cajun Craze cardstock.
Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 4 1/2" x 1 5/8".
Stamp the sentiment on the right side of the Whisper White cardstock using this process:
Use cellophane tape to cover the word You. Ink the stamp with Cajun Craze ink. Then, REMOVE THE TAPE BEFORE STAMPING THE IMAGE.
Adhere the small Cajun Craze rectangle to the left side of the stamped white piece.
Add the stamped piece to the card front.
Add the die cut globe image using mini dimensionals.
Here is the same card in different colors.
Which do you like better?
This version uses Soft Sea From ink and cardstock in these colors:
--Whisper White
--Misty Moonlight
--Seaside Spray
--Old Olive
