F un, no stamping back to school card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and scissors:
- card from Lost Lagoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of blue water design from Otterly Adorable 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the waves in the water are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Lost Lagoon Cardstock
- 1-5/8" x 2-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 1-3/4" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 7/8" x 1-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 2-1/2" square of multicolor fish in waves across blue water background from Otterly Adorable 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2 larger otters cut by hand from Otterly Adorable 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
Pick out the "B," "A," "C," and "K" die from the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Put them on top of the Lost Lagoon rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Lost Lagoon (blue) side is face up and they spell out "BACK." Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
One at a time, carefully remove the protective backing from the backs of the letter cut outs. Adhere them to the upper left corner of the horizontal water design Otterly Adorable Designer Paper rectangle as shown to spell the word "BACK."
Peel the protective backing off of the smaller Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Calypso Coral rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Peel the protective backing off of the larger Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Lost Lagoon rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the "2" die from the Alphabet A La Mode Dies. Put it on top of the Calypso Coral rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Calypso Coral (orange pink) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the "2" cut out. Adhere it to the water design designer paper rectangle as shown so it is just to the right of the "K" and about 1/4" below.
Pick out the circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies that cuts out a circle that is 2-1/8" diameter. Put it on top of the fish Otterly Adorable Designer Paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the circle of fish cut out to the bottom right corner of the water design designer paper rectangle as shown.
If you haven't already done so, cut out two of the larger otters from the Otterly Adorable Designer Paper by hand using scissors.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the cut out otters to the water designer paper rectangle in the upper right and lower left corners as shown. Cut off excess along the edges if needed.
Adhere the piece of water design Otterly Adorable Designer Paper to the front of the Lost Lagoon card.
Cut a 6" piece of the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording.
Fold the cording in half and tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the cording knot to the front of the card as shown at a slight angle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 medium and 2 small dots from a sheet of Holographic Resin Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown as bubbles from the otters.
